Products evolve.  Over the years, Weatherguard has led the way with more innovations than anyone in the carport/custom structure field.  We were the FIRST to use construction grade tubing in our designs, and because of that we were the FIRST to fully engineer our structures.  We were the FIRST to use square tubing instead of round, providing for leak proof buildings and superior rigidity and spans.  We were the FIRST to incorporate a "truss" design into our wide span structures allowing incredibly strong buildings up to 40-feet clear span.  In short, Weatherguard has led the way in free standing carport design for decades.  That's a fact we take pride in!

Now Weatherguard is introducing still more innovation to the industry.  Our new product line incorporates new advances in free-standing design technology.

1. Radius Bent Framing:  Everyone knows a circle is far stronger than a box and these bends prove it.  Our new benders retain the integrity of the tubing thus allowing us to increase the load carrying capacity of some of our structures 3 times the carrying capacity of our earlier designs!  So although the cost to change our process to radius bending has been substantial, we think it's worth it to provide the best product available.  Our competitors still "crush" the tube, thereby weakening it tremendously.

2. Rectangular 2" x 3" Tubing Bent the Hard Way:  Think of a 2" x 2" piece of wood and a 2" x 4" on its edge.  Not much doubt as to which one is least likely to bend or break under pressure.  Our new 2" x 3" tubing is not only substantially stronger than our competitors' typical 2" x 2", it looks better and is more professional!
    

3. Our New High Rib Custom Rail Formed Roofing:  Our old metal roofing had 3/4" high rib just like our competitors.  Weatherguard now has an agreement with one of the largest metal manufacturers in the U.S. to custom roll-form metal roofing just for us.  This special high rib design is over three times stronger than our competitors' design.  With this metal we can engineer buildings that will support 60-pound snow loads!  Sure, it costs more, but isn't it worth it to know you won't have a carport fail and damage your valuable vehicles?
